Tan France, Kim Kardashian and more celebs show off new body modification trend

Tattoos and piercings move aside. There are new body modifications in town, and Kim Kardashian, Chrissy Teigen, and Tan France are here to show them off.

When it comes to body modifications, tattoos are becoming pretty common and piercings, even multiple ones, don’t come with much shock value anymore either. Still, there is always something new on the horizon when it comes to style trends of the physical variety.

Chrissy Teigen and Kim Kardashian are often trailblazers in the fashion world, and the latest trend they’re trying has us both in awe and yea, a little weirded out?

These style queens have been showing off skin implants that are part of an art experiment known as A. Human. The experiment is being called an “immersive theatrical art event” by the creator Simon Huck, who is a friend of the Kardashians. The event is set to launch on September 5th, and celebs are here to hype it up.

Kim showed off her piece, an alien-looking choker that lights up in time with her heartbeat, on Instagram. Her necklace also glows in the dark. Chrissy Teigen’s implant looked like feathers across her chest.

These two aren’t the only famous faces A. Human is using to promote their project. Model Andrej Pejic and Tan France from Queer Eye have jumped on the trend train, and again, these body modifications are both incredible and give us icky vibes.

The A. Human exhibition will debut at New York Fashion Week and will be held at 48 Mercer Street. If you’re in the area and are intrigued by this somewhat fascinating, somewhat disturbing trend, you can buy a ticket for $40 and maybe see some celebrities while you’re at it.
