Fear the Walking Dead returns for its mid-season premiere. New danger awaits our survivors as a terrible storm approaches.

After a summer break, Fear the Walking Dead returns to show us where Morgan, Alicia and the rest of our FTWD cast have ended up after learning of Madison Clarke’s death.

In a sneak peek for tonight’s episode, June and John notice a bunch of walkers floating down a river. John aims to find out where they’re coming from, but he may be too weak from his gunshot wound. Former journalist Al says she was planning to leave, we’re not sure where, but she can help out before she goes. June and John hug, wishing for each other to be careful, and that, unfortunately, doesn’t make us feel confident things will go too well.

Here’s the teaser for tonight’s episode, per AMC:

We had a lengthier preview for season 4 at San Diego Comic-Con. A massive storm rolls in, and with our crew seemingly separated, it is about to get much worse once thunder, rain and walkers are mixed together.
