Serena Williams

When Serena Williams isn’t killing it on the tennis court, you can probably find her watching all there is out there of Avatar: The Last Airbender and then, obviously, The Legend of Korra. That’s right, Serena Williams is a nerd. She’s one of us.

Back in March, Serena revealed her nerdy love when she took to Twitter to ask a question about the series and revealed that it had been weighing on her mind. What’s wonderful about the entire thing is that she has such a subdued way of bringing up her nerdiness. Serena = sleeper nerd.

Serena not only knows her stuff but she wants to know more, the true sign of a nerd. Serena’s very clear understanding of the series and determination to find out the answer to her question concretes her place among us nerds.

That and she’s Serena Williams and if she said “I’m a nerd”, no one would really want to fight her on it. But then again, we wouldn’t have to because she’d school us all with her knowledge of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
