Jason Segel

There was a time when the Muppets were uber popular, and then came a void of Muppet-less entertainment. Star of The Muppets and How I Met Your Mother, Jason Segel is one of the reasons we have the Muppets back in our lives. His obsession with Jim Henson’s show (and subsequent movies) has been reported on for years.

Segel is a puppet man, which is one of the reasons his character in Forgetting Sarah Marshall has a whole puppet musical. Which, by the way, thanks for that Jason because “Dracula’s Lament” is still a great song.

Truly we should be thanking Jason for his love of the Muppets because it brought us a whole new wave of material as well as “Man or Muppet” from The Muppets. (A great song that shows two brothers trying to figure out what they are and honestly one of the best Muppet songs to date.)

So Jason Segel, your puppet obsession may seem weird to some but to us, we’re grateful. Because without you, who knows where the Muppets would be today and that would have been a shame.
