London now has a giant statue of shirtless Jeff Goldblum for Jurassic Park’s anniversary

London has a gift for the world in honor of Jurassic Park’s 25th anniversary: a very large statue of Dr. Ian Malcolm, shirtless.

Jeff Goldblum as Dr. Ian Malcolm is one of the world’s precious gifts that’s been praised for the last 25 years. Jurassic Park offered us Goldblum helpless, laying with his shirt unbuttoned, and everyone has had feelings they cannot stop to this day.

In 2018, not much has changed. We all still love Jeff Goldblum and there are even Funko dolls of Ian Malcolm with his shirt open, because people need that in their lives. It’s gotten to the point that there is a random statue of Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm in London. So why exactly does this statue exist?

It was erected for the Jurassic Park anniversary, and you know, that’s fine. Could they have chosen any number of dinosaur statues to represent the movie? Yes, but that’s not nearly as fun as an injured Ian Malcolm laying done with his shirt open for us all to enjoy.

The question now is: What happens to the statue once they take it down? Will it just vanish or can we, the Americans, get the Jeff Goldblum statue as our national treasure? Maybe we should put it in a museum where people can see dinosaur bones and Dr. Malcolm (and well, lay against him if you so desire).

Whatever happens, this is the greatest way to honor the iconic film francise and that statue should definitely go to, at least, the Smithsonian if not its very own museum. Really, why isn’t there a Jeff Goldblum museum out there to make all our Goldblum loving hearts complete? We deserve it.

Next: Could we see the return of Jeff Goldblum in Avengers 4?

Let’s get this statue here ASAP and put it next to the Statue of Liberty so we can welcome people into America with the best our country has to offer.
