Watchmen

Even if you’re not here for another Zack Snyder take on graphic novels or superheroes, Watchmen is still worth checking out for a specific member of the cast. Yet another graphic novel turned into superhero epic, Watchmen brings dark heroes who struggle with their own anxieties as well as fighting the bad guys of the world into the spotlight.

Although it has an all-star cast, you can catch Aquaman’ s Ocean Master himself star as a hero. Patrick Wilson is not only known for Watchmen but movies like Phantom of the Opera (where he played Raoul) and Stretch.

There are so many good things about Watchmen … and most of them have to do with Wilson’s Night Owl and his work. While it is funny to think of a superhero’s difficulties extending to the bedroom, it’s one of the first superhero movies to show the humanity of the heroes we idolize.

Sure, we see them struggle with what they are doing as superheroes, but to see a hero struggle with a very human pain was something amazing to see. Moreover, the movie itself has quite the soundtrack to get us excited about all these messed up heroes as they fight the evils of the world.
