Here are 25 movies you should watch if you love the actors from the DCEU!

Whiplash

Commissioner Gordon loves jazz music. Whiplash became the movie that everyone watched for J.K Simmons. A man who has been in classic hits (including Spider-Man), J.K. Simmons has always been, seemingly, in the background.

With Whiplash, he won an Oscar and showed the world that he was not to be underestimated. Not that his fans did before, but Whiplash truly changed him from that cool dad you would see in indie movies to a man who really wanted you to match his tempo when he was conducting you in jazz.

His role as Commissioner Gordon hasn’t really given him too much to do in the DCEU, but we can trust that Simmons will bring everything to the role, as he always does. He understands the importance of every character he’s playing and he knows what he’s doing. He did win an Academy Award, after all.

If Whiplash isn’t your scene, Juno is also an incredible movie to watch to fall in love with him. He’s just a dad who wants what is best for his daughter and it is the movie that convinced everyone he and Allison Janney were really married to each other (they are sadly not). Either way, Whiplash is a phenomenal film.
