The idea that we’re all living in this computerized society where we have to plug in to be a part of the world we know doesn’t sound all that far-fetched anymore, though, does it?

Man of Steel‘s Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) stars as Morpheus, the man who brings Neo into the reality. What was so amazing about The Matrix series is that it deposited this idea into our heads that this world was not what we expected it to be.

Everything Neo knew, both day in and day out, is a lie. The reality is that the world has become so desolate that everyone lives in ships and just tries to get through each day before plugging back into the Matrix.

With Agent Smith and Trinity, the movie brought this incredible world to life in a way that blew everyone’s minds. They’re still some of the best sci-fi movies out there and brought Laurence Fishburne to a whole new generation.
