Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger season 1 episode 7 preview: Lotus Eaters

As Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger starts to hone in on some answers, we may finally see Tandy and Tyrone use their powers in tandem this week.

Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger has given us some tight storytelling so far this season. Each episode breaks itself into three different plots. Every episode gives us a little bit more on each of them.

One thing that has not been as prevalent as some may hope? Superpowers. After all, this is a comic book show, and we are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No, we don’t need mentions of “the green guy” or “the Incident,” but more than just a casual taste of powers might be nice.

This week’s episode may just deliver on that. Here is the official synopsis, courtesy of Freeform:

"A mysterious man may be the key for Tandy to finally clear her father’s name. Unfortunately, getting the answers she needs will be difficult as the man has been in a catatonic state for almost a decade, but it might not be so impossible for two people with extraordinary powers. With Tyrone alongside to help, the two test their combined powers for the first time."

This could be our big moment — our culmination of what this show has been building up to this entire first season.

Because six episodes in, we still haven’t seen Tandy and Tyrone use their powers together. We’ve seen them test how close they can get before their powers emerge once they made the connection. But other than that? There’s been absolutely nothing. And what is Cloak and Dagger without the and between them? They’re a pair for a reason.

It will be fun to see how this show handles their powers when used in tandem. And how will they handle themselves inside of Mr. Hess’s mind? That’s another good question that might just be answered this week.
