Captain Marvel takes on Thanos in fan art that gets us pumped for Avengers 4

An artist imaged the meeting between Captain Marvel and Thanos for Avengers 4, and we can’t wait to see this epic showdown actually happen.

The time for Captain Marvel to take on the Mad Titan will come. And on that day, Thanos will finally experience true fear.

We might not know exactly how a Thanos vs. Captain Marvel-style battle will go down just yet, but there is some new fan art that’s really getting us excited for it.

BossLogic, a well-known artist around the internet, posted his latest creation on Twitter, showing Captain Marvel just before an epic face-off with Thanos. It’s the Avengers 4 battle we know Carol Danvers will have no problem taking on. But boy, does BossLogic make Thanos look menacing.

What makes the art so brilliant is that if you look closely, Captain Marvel is standing on top of different hero-memorabilia that represents each Avenger (even their bodies). For example, Captain America’s shield, Thor’s Stormbreaker axe, and Hawkeye’s arrows are all present in the pile of rubbish.

From the text in the art and BossLogic’s caption, this piece has a pretty good title (or at least tagline) for Avengers 4: “Avenge Us.” By now, many know that Avengers: Infinity War didn’t have the happy ending we were expecting — instead, most of our favorite heroes turned to dust.

So while we’re looking forward to this big battle between Captain Marvel and Thanos, we first have to wait for the Captain Marvel movie to hit theaters in March. Luckily, it just finished filming, which means we’ll soon know the extent of Carol Danvers’ powers. And, ultimately, we’ll see just how strong she is a S.H.I.E.L.D.’s secret weapon to defeating Thanos.

Both Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 will be out in theaters early next year. It’s up to the remaining Avengers, Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, and (hopefully) Hawkeye, to get their friends back and end Thanos once and for all.
