Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger: When will Tandy and Tyrone make up?

Last week’s episode of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger had Tyrone and Tandy leaving on less than friendly terms. So… when will they make amends?

When Tyrone and Tandy interact on Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger, things really hit the fan. Both with their powers and their conversation.

This most recent episode ended on a sour note. Tyrone called out the inherent racism in society with Tandy not quite following along (she can’t quite fit in Tyrone’s shoes just yet). Even though she was just nearly raped a few episodes back, she’s not a walking target practice for cops.

And then they both brought up thoughts of suicide. It heated up until it boiled over with Tyrone telling her, “You know what, if you want to die, why don’t you just do it?”

That’s a heavy thing to throw at some one, especially in this day and age. Is there a way for him to come back from that comment? For Tandy to forgive him?

Obviously, it’s going to happen, as the show can’t have the two main character really hating each other. The question is when.

Because as last week’s episode continued, Tyrone saw a new side of his father, something more respectable. Tandy jumps into the Mississippi covered in chains, looking like the suicide attempt Tyrone threw at her.

Except that she comes out of it alive, holding a light dagger. It really looks like she’s starting to get the hang of her powers. But can Tyrone say the same? Will seeing a new side of his dad help him hone the darkness? It’s quite possible, especially if the show will really keep Tandy and Tyrone having parallel lives.

It will take more than this upcoming episode to have these two come back together, even begrudgingly. And it will probably rely on Tyrone seeking out Tandy, needing help figuring out his powers.

Next: They may be terrible, but these are 15 TV characters we love to hate

My guess is that by episode six or seven, these two will be together, in fantastic-fighting form. Until then, we’ll have to see where the show takes them on their separate paths.
