10. Gamora and Peter

Okay so this couple is the reason that half our favorite characters died so maybe they’re not the best to include. In Avengers: Infinity War, Gamora is sacrificed by her adoptive father, Thanos, so that he can obtain the soul stone.

When Peter Quill finds out that she is murdered, he ruins everything for “love” and punches Thanos right as Tony Stark and Peter Parker are trying to get the gauntlet off his hand so that they can stop Thanos from bringing destruction to half the galaxy.

All that being said, what a cute picture! (It’s hard to talk about Peter Quill and not be angry. Even if he did vanish, he still ruined everything.) These two had a tension between them from the start and many knew that, eventually, their love would win out and they’d kiss.

He shows her his music, she helped him protect the galaxy. It was a wonderful dynamic and this artist captures how beautiful their relationship could be (and how beautiful James Gunn and his direction can be).

Will we get more of these two? Honestly, who knows. They’re both “dead” according to Avengers: Infinity War but is anyone really gone?
