Wonder Woman of the Week: Chrissy Teigen, a celebrity mom who keeps it hilariously real

Chrissy Teigen has soared from a Sports Illustrated model proud of her curves to our Wonder Woman of the Week as a celebrity who keeps it refreshingly real.

Chrissy Teigen has become a delightful contrast to all those celebrities who seem, well, just too perfect to be true. Known for keeping it real in interviews and on social media, Chrissy is our Wonder Woman this week for sharing everything from v-steaming to breastfeeding to raising a daughter who’s both a mini-astronaut and ballerina!

Chrissy Teigen shares her very real beauty ritual: V-steaming

Forget the glam squad and skip the pre-pre-makeover cosmetics. Chrissy shared her truths when it comes to her beauty ritual.  In contrast to those glamour shots of celebrities with their hair looking perfect and their makeup in place, Teigen shared an Instagram pic in which she wore a black tube top and sheet mask on her face. A towel covered her lap, while her caption shared the reason for the lady parts cover-up.

“Face mask / heat pad / vagina steam no I don’t know if any of this works but it can’t hurt right?” wrote Chrissy, mocking herself with a joke, “*vagina dissolves*”

Empowering her daughter in the cutest way

Celebrity moms are known for choosing designer clothes and giving elaborate birthday bashes. And then there’s Chrissy Teigen, who is raising her daughter to be a ballerina and astronaut. This proud mom, who shares her 2-year-old daughter Luna with husband John Legend, posted a Twitter clip showing the little girl focused on putting on an orange spacesuit over a ballerina skirt.

“I thought I was going to have this incredible female empowerment moment where Luna ripped her tutu off and replaced it with her space suit, but sometimes a girl wants to be both,” wrote Chrissy.

Giving us a breastfeeding reality check

Just as she is honest about her beauty routines, Chrissy is refreshingly real about breastfeeding. Instead of a professional photo showing her breastfeeding with makeup, hair, and attire impeccably in place, Teigen turned to her Instagram Stories to post a video about the “veins going to my milky boobs.” Chrissy also went makeup-free in sharing a photo showing the mom of two with her kids.
