They may be terrible, but these are 15 TV characters we love to hate

Rio – Good Girls
What’s his deal: He’s the crime boss and resident dreamboat on the NBC series Good Girls. Starring Christina Hendricks, Retta, and Mae Whitman as the “girls” in question, Good Girls is about three women who are in such desperate financial circumstances that they must rob a grocery store. They accidentally get mixed up with organized crime, with Rio as the boss.
Rio, played by Manny Montana, is both scary and wildly alluring. He has a quiet menace that suggests he’s working under a great deal of restraint when he becomes angry or disappointed. You can tell he’s capable of violence and mayhem, but he’s got a wink in his smirk that makes you want to ignore it.
Why we love him anyway: He’s sexy. Hands down, no way around it — he is a very attractive man. There is also a hint of an budding relationship between his and Hendricks’ character, Beth, and I’m here for it all.
Their characters are so different and come from such different worlds, that I’m desperately intrigued to see where this ‘ship goes. Beth is a suburban housewife who has recently discovered her husband is having an affair and has bankrupted their family. Beth gets angry and tries her best to keep herself together, but you can tell there is something between them. I love to see opposites attract.
Where to find it: Catch up on season 1, and the steamy, budding romance between the two on NBC’s website and on demand. There are a handful of episodes available on Hulu as well.
