17. Lex shaking her jello

Lex’s iconic jello scene is an easily memorable scene, especially if you were a kid when you first watched these films. We see Lex sitting at a table feeling as if she is somewhat safe. The entire crew finally made it back to the welcome center and all the adults have run off to try and figure out a way to get them off the island.

Timmy is completely unaware of what is happening, he’s just enjoying what bit of freedom he has while they are still in a dire situation. Obviously, the moment is ruined because the Raptors find them but there is one of the most iconic shots in Jurassic Park history.

Lex is sitting in front of her brother, he is oblivious and when he looks up, her jello is shaking in her hand as she stares at the shadow of a Velociraptor. Why this is iconic isn’t just the shaking but rather how they had to do it to make it seem so natural. Ariana Richards, who played Lex, couldn’t get the shaking right without it looking too forced.

So someone from the production team was beneath the table shaking her arm, bringing to life the moment and making it one of the more frightening shots in the entire series.
