Pedro Pascal could be a god in disguise in Wonder Woman 1984

Pedro Pascal is rumored to play a god in disguise in the next Wonder Woman movie, and it brings up some major questions.

Pedro Pascal is no stranger to fan-favorite work. The former star of Game of Thrones was announced as one of the new stars for the upcoming Wonder Woman sequel, but his role was never confirmed. Now it seems as if Ares wasn’t the only god in disguise out there, as CBR reports rumors that Pascal is playing a deity in Wonder Woman 1984.

As far as we know, the gods are dead. Ares killed them all, and he was badly injured as a result. So now there is another god in disguise? Could Pascal be Zeus? While it is still speculation, it does make sense that the gods would return.

In the comics, Aphrodite was the one to bring Steve Trevor back from the dead. So if there is a possibility that the gods have returned (either with the death of Ares or by some event we don’t yet know), then Pascal could be playing any number of gods out there, perhaps even Aphrodite’s son, Eros, which could result in the return of Steve Trevor).

Again, there is just a lot we don’t know. While the cat is out of the bag about Steve Trevor making his comeback, the how and why isn’t clear to fans just yet. It is very plausible that Pascal could be a god in disguise — or he could also end up being another member of her team without any connection to the Amazons or the gods. We’ll have to wait and see what Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns have in store for us.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set for a November 2019 release. So far, we know that Steve Trevor is back, Cheetah is the villain, and now, apparently, more gods are on their way back.
