3. The last battle is epic

Every battle in this movie is fantastic but the best was the last one. The grand finale. After being discovered as a woman, Mulan raced to find Li Shang to tell him the Huns are still coming, and he doesn’t believe her. Mulan says, “You trusted Ping. Why is Mulan any different?”

Sadly, they still don’t believe her, and she is left on her own. But she was right about the Huns; the emperor was taken captive. Mulan convinces Li Shang, Po, Yao, and Ling to fight beside her.

They then disguise themselves as women and kick everyone’s butt. Even Mushu engulfs Shan Yu’s hawk in flames, and he rides it around. Once Mulan reaches Shan Yu, all bets are off.

They end up fighting on the roof of the palace. With some help from Mushu, Mulan sets a trap for Shan Yu. Mushu straps fireworks to his back and fires them at Shan Yu sending him into a building that blows up. It’s an insane way to end a battle and has always been one of the greatest battle scenes in any Disney movie.

Plus, the fireworks add an extra element to the end of the battle, especially when the citizens of China are cheering from below.
