The mysteries continue when it comes to Game of Thrones season 8 actually being done with filming or not, with members of the cast still in Belfast.
Warning: We’ll be discussing Game of Thrones season 8 spoilers below.
It’s hard not to read pretty deeply into this Game of Thrones season 8 sighting. After all, we know there’s still work being done at the King’s Landing set in Belfast, presumably with the intent to film at least a little more there.
So, when a fan spots Emilia Clarke — also known as Daenerys Targaryen — right there in Belfast, well, one has to wonder if the two are at least a little connected. Before we get any further, though: It’s entirely possible that she’s gearing up to leave or something similar.

And Twitter user A Red Priestess picked it up:
Now that we’ve gotten the disclaimers out of the way, let’s get into the speculation. With the spotting of the giant probable-dragon, the odds have shifted to be more in favor of Daenerys attacking King’s Landing rather than the Night King. Additionally, what’s been long speculated as the Red Keep wall is getting a repainting, as linked above.
All of this suggests — at least at a circumstantial level — that whatever’s still happening in King’s Landing (or at the Paint Hall) still needs Daenerys. Perhaps we’ll have long shots of her walking through the ruined city to claim it for her own? It would be an almost elegiac way to wrap up the battle and perhaps an episode in general.

But that’s just a little bit of imagination on our parts. After all, we don’t know where Kit Harington is right now, and Jon and Daenerys walking through King’s Landing as a team or a pairing would add a new layer of depth to this idea.
What do you think? Are we just connecting dots to connect the dots, or do we have something here?
