Star Wars fan improves The Last Jedi by adding in Led Zeppelin
The Star Wars saga might not really use licensed music, but let’s face it: Led Zeppelin goes with pretty much any scene that’s awesome.
After Thor: Ragnarok, we thought that the market had been cornered on the use of “Immigrant Song.” It is, after all, actually about the Norse, and Thor wields a hammer, so it’s pretty much the perfect pairing. We did not, however, account for Star Wars fans who know how to edit in good music and know how to redeem a scene from The Last Jedi.
Okay, we probably would have objected to Leia sacrificing herself instead of Amilyn Holdo doing the same, but it’s tough to say that it wouldn’t have been kind of badass to watch.

Yup, Robert Plant’s war cry definitely fits.
Now, technically speaking, Leia isn’t from “the land of ice and snow.” Sure, she spends some time on Hoth, but she was born on Polis Massa and grew up on Alderaan, neither of which are particularly known for their wintry climates. But she is the “hammer of the” Force, at least in this version of the story, and there’s probably some sort of Force-version of Valhalla (is it becoming a Force ghost)?
She does “[calm] the tides of war,” though, at least in the original trilogy, and we know she has intentions to do the same in the sequel trilogy against the First Order. And her enemies do “rebuild all their ruins” by building another Death Star, then building Starkiller Base.

You know what? We’ll give it to Josh, showing his passion and the passion that usually wins Star Wars a high spot on FanSided’s Fandom 250. He might have just had the best fan usage of “Immigrant Song” ever.
Thor: Ragnarok can still keep the official usage crown. No, we don’t think even a fourth Thor movie could top it. Sorry. It’s been done.
