Watch Cardi B serve sizzling looks in new ‘I Like It’ music video
Cardi B’s new music video, “I Like It” brings serious Latin American heat plus fashionable looks we want to wear ASAP this summer.
Cardi B doesn’t play when it comes to her music videos, both in beats and in fashion, as she has proven time and time again.
In her latest music video, “I Like It,” Cardi teams up with reggaeton star J Balvin and Puerto Rican trap master Bad Bunny to serve us a stunningly sexy video with vibrant colors and undertones of the boogaloo hit “I Like It Like That.” Shot in Miami, the party vibes and infectious lyrics come together to offer an enjoyable celebration of Cardi B’s Dominican roots.
To top all of that off, we have to discuss how gorgeous each and every one of Cardi B’s looks are in this video. From a beaded crop top to a billowing red gown to floral flair pants — Cardi proves she indeed is a “spicy mami.” (Adding to that, the singer tweeted just how pregnant she was during different scenes of the video).
Let’s do a fashion rewind on the trio of hot Cardi showed off.
That sassy skirt and beaded crop top
Cardi B starts things off stunting and shining in a sexy beaded top by Marc Jacobs and a popping yellow Alejandro Collection skirt. That covetable head wrap is also by Marc Jacobs.
Cardi flounces about in a look we’re sure will be replicated over and over the next few months. Give us a beaded top over a bikini any day ofthe week, and we’re set.
As for the stunning metallic heels she’s wearing with this look? To paraphrase Cardi, they are “bloody shoes” — Christian Louboutin “Boticella Alta” heels to be exact (and they’re $995, just in case you were curious).
Those flirty feathers and flowing sleeves
Up next, this red Michael Costello gown with sleeves that flow both from wind and her powerful vocals. The gown is a softer look for Cardi, and she continues that softness with green feathered earrings by Ranjana Khan.
But then, our girl breaks out those serious Monika Chiang gladiator sandals and we remember just who we’re watching.
All the applause for bringing another colorful head wrap to the video, this one by Kollin Carter.
And, of course, Gucci
Cardi B just had to be in Gucci in this video. We have to say this ’70s style printed shirt and pants combo by the designer is the perfect way to rep hot summer nights in Miami nightclubs. As for her accessories, Cardi B easily went to the jeweler for those House of Emmanuele “Carnivale Ornos” earrings.
And just because we can’t stop watching it, here’s “I Like It” in all of its glory. (Warning: Explicit language)
