Mae Martin

Mae received her first Canadian Comedy Award nomination at the age of 15. Like Beth Stelling, Martin talks to her audience as if she’s engaged in a normal conversation. Her subtle punchlines are funnier than most comic’s heavy zingers. Mae approaches stand up with her own brand of charismatic storytelling, causing the audience to laugh before they even realize she’s said a punch line. Her stand up is light-hearted and yet rammed with edgy, raw and enlightened anecdotes.

Mae moved to England in 2011, where she still lives. Since living n the UK, she has been on countless British television shows, most of which have been on BBC. Mae hosts a live stand-up show around London called Mae Martin and Friends. She is also a regular at the Edinburgh fringe festival, having sold out shows. If you know anything about Fringe, you know that having a sold-out show can mean, and Mae has had one every year for the past five. If you don’t live in England, you’re in luck because she’s been known to tour Australia, the US, and of course, Canada.
