The Terror season 1, episode 10 live stream: Watch online

Well folks, here we are at the end of all things. Just one more episode before we find out how this beautiful tragedy unravels.

We know, from history and from the title card of The Terror episode one, that none of these men are going to make it back to England. Over half the crew is now dead, and those that are left not far from it. There’s a lot of plates up in the air right now, and if the quality of the show up until this point is any indication when they all come crashing down, it’s going to be as spectacular as it is heartbreaking.

While episode 8 wiped out over 50 crewmembers, most of them weren’t, frankly, ones we cared about. But episode 9 saw the deaths of nearly a half-dozen favorites, Bridgens, Peglar, Fitzjames and Blanky among them.

We now are moving into the finale with a cast whittled down to just a few of the major players. There’s Edward Little, the lieutenant in charge of Crozier’s men (an ailing Jopson among them) now that the captain has been abducted by Hickey. Silna’s most recent scene suggests she will be trying to reassert some kind of control over Tuunbaq. Poor Goodsir remains trapped in Hickey’s camp, forced to turn from surgeon to butcher.

And of course, there’s Hickey and Crozier. It’s fascinating to see how Hickey has murdered and connived his way to the top of the pile — where back on the ship, Crozier had total authority over him; now the tables have turned. When last we saw everyone, Hickey’s men had Crozier at gunpoint, and he showed no signs of trying to resist them. Whatever Hickey’s plans are, they’re certainly going to be bad news… probably for everyone but him.
