Fuller House (Netflix)

Fuller House is proof that not every show needs a reboot.

Full House was a beloved family show back in the late-’80s and ’90s, and it had a great run with eight seasons and a special place in the heart of people around the world. It also continued to do well in syndication, part of the reason why it’s still so beloved nowadays. Unfortunately, that also led to the creation of Fuller House on Netflix in 2016.

The original series was about Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters, who asks his best friend Joey and brother-in-law Jesse to move in with them to help take care of the kids following his wife’s death. On Fuller House, they decided to stick to the exact same format, but instead, eldest daughter DJ is all grown up and, no surprise, a widow. Her sister Stephanie and life-long best friend Kimmy Gibbler (along with her daughter) move in to help her take care of her three sons.

Full House was always cheesy, but it was the ’90s, and the family sitcom was at its peak. It may have been cheesy, but it worked for the series and made it an instant classic. Fuller House just comes off over the top and ridiculous, and with bad special effects and even worse acting, it’s a wonder it made it past the first season.

Fuller House has been renewed for a fourth season on Netflix, which means enough people are still watching it to keep it going. To all those people out there who are responsible for this: why?! Unless they manage to book an Olsen twin to finally make an appearance, color us not interested.
