Elastigirl/Helen Parr (The Incredibles)

Helen Parr was awesome even before she became a mom. She believed that female supers were just as strong and powerful as the men, if not more so. The idea of leaving the fate of the world to just men was laughable to her.

With that kind of attitude, of course, her daughter is just as hardcore. When Syndrome finally strikes the city, Violet and her brother aren’t going to just sit on the sidelines. They wouldn’t stay behind when she went to save their father, so there’s no way they were missing the final battle.

The kids were as resilient and headstrong as their mother at all times. Understandably, that led to some heated arguments. Growing up and figuring out who you are is hard to begin with; having to hide superpowers on top of that makes it all the more difficult.

But Helen found a way to help her kids through, and explain to them why they have to live in the way they do.

When Incredibles 2 hits this summer, Elastigirl is back in action. She’ll be the center of the film, leaving Mr. Incredible to stay home with the kids. But something tells me she’ll still find a way to balance being a superhero with being a super mom.
