Tiffany Haddish is pumped to host the MTV Movie and TV Awards this summer, offering a hilarious preview today.

Tiffany Haddish is ready. Are you ready?

The comedian gave us a preview of what to expect at this year’s MTV Movie and TV Awards. Haddish is set on being a refreshing change to what we’re used to with awards show hosts.

Rolling out her own red carpet in Timberland boots and a sequined gold jumpsuit, Haddish brings on the realities of making it big — at least the way she did it.

“If you want to make it in this business, you’ve got to pay your dues. I’ve slept in my car in Beverly Hills. I even hosted Bar Mitzvahs.”

The last time MTV had a female host for the awards show was back in 2015 with Amy Schumer, and then Rebel Wilson in 2013. Known for always keeping it real, the Girls Trip star reminds us exactly why we want — and need — her as a host.

“You don’t want another generic dude in a tux hosting a boring-ass awards show. You want the boss who paved her own way!”

Yes, Haddish. Yes, yes and yes!

Haddish announced she’d be hosting the awards show in February on Instagram, letting us know her time on stage will be “off the chain.”

Oh, but we knew that.

We’ve already had a preview of what Haddish can bring to an awards show. She and Maya Rudolph were easily the highlights of this year’s Oscars ceremony, repeated Alexander McQueen dress and all.

You can catch Haddish right now on Tracy Morgan’s TBS sitcom The Last OG, and see her in Kevin Hart’s upcoming comedy Night School.

The MTV Movie and TV Awards will air on Monday, June 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
