Your favorite Thor: Ragnarok character might have been safe in Infinity War

We know about the fate of our main heroes from Thor: Ragnarok in Infinity War. But what about your other favorite character? Well, it depends on who it is.

While we were worried about which Avengers were disappearing after Thanos wreaked havoc, we almost forgot about the fate of some other characters who weren’t in the film at all.

We’re talking about one of the main characters from Thor: Ragnarok, Valkyrie, and the greatest rebellion leader ever, Korg. Thankfully, Infinity War co-director Joe Russo didn’t leave us hanging on that one for long.

Speaking to his students at his old high school in Iowa, Russo was supposedly pretty candid with the high schoolers who were dying to know more about Infinity War. And according to Redditor MaxPiper4, he even answered questions regarding the fate of Valkyrie and Korg.

In the Reddit post, Russo did confirm that Valkyrie lived in Infinity War. If you recall, the opening scene of the movie started with shots of the destroyed Asgardian refugee spaceship, with tons of dead bodies to spare. Thor mentioned that the destruction only took half the lives of his Asgardian people, so Valkyrie was one of the lucky ones to survive. What she did after, no one knows. But we hope she aided in the recovery of her people after the Mad Titan’s devastation.

And for Korg… We don’t have bad news, but we don’t’ have good news either. Apparently, Russo “wasn’t willing to say what his fate was.” That makes us sad, considering Korg was such an awesome character. It also makes us wonder if his right-hand man, Miek, survived. If they ride together, they die together. So you can’t have one without the other.

On Sunday, Tessa Thompson joked about what her character was actually doing in Infinity War. It’s a running joke that she gets compared to goats on Twitter, so she tweeted out a photo of Bucky Barnes holding a sweet little goat in battle.

We’re sure her adorable looks would have definitely come in handy during the battle in Wakanda!

In our heads, all of the characters from Thor: Ragnarok survived. Because honestly, no one should have to suffer the same fate as Heimdall and Loki at the hands of Thanos.
