Riverdale has big shoes to fill after last week’s mega success with the Carrie musical episode. Not only did the cast knock it out of the park, but we also lost Midge to the Black Hood. Now everyone is on high alert.

With the not-so-subtle threat scrawled in (what we can presume was) Midge’s blood, the Scooby gang are going to put their super sleuth hats back on. Hopefully, they can catch the real killer this time. Nobody was buying it was the janitor, and we haven’t forgotten they tried to make us believe it.

Now that they have a serial killer to focus on, maybe the gang can put all their differences aside — class warfare, family dysfunction, a murder coverup — and act like the lead four we know them to be. Well, the lead four Riverdale continues to try and sell as the best and the brightest.

If you ask me, they should just hand over all bits of mystery and intrigue to Cheryl and let her sort them out. Lord knows she slays at everything else. Now that her and Josie are (mostly) reconciled, let’s get the power trio of level heads — Toni, Cheryl and Josie — more involved in this mess of a town.  I swear, if  realtor tried to sell me a house in Riverdale….

The trailer suggests there will be fallout from Alice taking Hal back. Pardon me while I type around my poked-out bottom lip. What’s a girl got to do for a little FP/Alice ‘shipping action? Remember when he tossed his gum out when he let her in the house? More of that.
