Scandal season 7 has reached its final episode ever. Will the truth set everyone free or will the Republic succumb to the devastation?

It is the episode that everyone has wanted yet wished would never come. Scandal‘s series finale is here. No more new episodes featuring Oliva Pope, the Presidency or the Gladiators will come. What fate is in store for these beloved characters?

The very short synopsis for Scandal’s season 7 episode 18 “Over a Cliff” states “the Gladiators make the ultimate sacrifice to take down Cyrus and Jake.”

At the end of last week’s episode, the Gladiators decided to go public with their knowledge of B6-13. Olivia had said all along that the truth would set them free. While the truth is always a viable defense, peeling back the curtain to the covert acts of B6-13 could lead to the downfall of the Republic and the Gladiators.

SCANDAL – “Over A Cliff” – The highly anticipated series finale of the groundbreaking series, “Scandal,” receives a momentous send-off, beginning with an exclusive sneak peek at the final episode on “Good Morning America,” THURSDAY, APRIL 19 (7:00-9:00 a.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Of course, everyone wants a happy ending for the majority of the Scandal characters (sorry Jake and Cyrus, no one wants you to win). Sure, Olivia and Fitz could journey off to Vermont. Quinn and Charlie could live happily ever after. A gut feeling says that a happy ending isn’t in the cards for everyone. It doesn’t fit the mold for Scandal. Sunshine and rainbows haven’t been part of the storyline, ever.

Could there be some glimmer of hope in this last episode ever of Scandal? I think that everyone seems to want some good to prevail in the end. What that goodness is will have fans turning in for one last time.
