Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 18 preview: All Roads Lead…

Agents of SHIELD keep moving toward the inevitable quaking of the world. So how will our SHIELD friends stop Ruby from becoming the Destroyer of Worlds?

Agents of SHIELD feels compelled to continue to tell you we’re stuck in a time loop.

Although, Fitz did consider that maybe they aren’t last week. So it’s possible everyone’s having their doubts. Regardless, we’re still quickly hurtling toward the finale, the one where the world gets quaked apart.

The official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of ABC:

"The team must find a way to stop Ruby before the prophesized chain reaction that can destroy the Earth is put into motion."

I mean … if you saw the preview for this week’s episode after last week’s episode, then you saw Ruby going into the Captain America chamber.

Things are about to get crazy.

It’s really sad that every episode seems to recommit to the idea that our SHIELD compatriots are stuck in the same exact time loop, but I mean … that’s also the point of this whole season. So I get it. It just feels a little more than frustrating.

On the plus side, Elena did finally tell someone about what exactly future Elena said. Granted, she told the two people the rest of SHIELD probably won’t trust when they return. But at least she told someone!

You have to think Daisy won’t listen to her. She just spent the last two episodes hunting down Coulson. She’s not about to sit idly by and watch him die just because Elena says so.

Our SHIELD team feels incredibly fractured. And it’s only a matter of time before they get shoved into close confines and have to deal with the repercussions of their actions.

But what actions are right and what keep them stuck? Heck if we have any idea. We’ll have to see what Agents of SHIELD has in store this week.
