Wonder Woman 2 adds Pedro Pascal in a mysterious role

Pedro Pascal is joining the cast of Wonder Woman 2 as if we weren’t in love with him before. Is he a love interest? A new villain? Well, we’ll have to wait and see.

Ever since his appearance in Game of Thrones, fans have become obsessed with Pedro Pascal. From Oberyn to his role in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, we can’t get enough of him. And now we’re going to have a chance to see him take on a role opposite Gal Gadot in the new Wonder Woman sequel, per Variety.

We don’t know much about his role as of yet but with the death of Steve Trevor (Chris Pine), it could be a potential love interest for Diana. Or maybe he is just part of her crew to take on Kristen Wiig as Cheetah. The problem is that we don’t know much about this movie to begin with.

They’re keeping the sequel under wraps as of lately and that means that we know the bare minimum. It isn’t fun. After all, the last we saw of the Amazons and Diana, they had been destroyed by Steppenwolf. Still, fans have to be patient.

Personally I hope that Wonder Woman 2 fixes what Justice League ruined. Wonder Woman was such an important movie and was perfect in a lot of ways. To see it destroyed so carelessly by Justice League hurt, and now we only know that Patty Jenkins is, seemingly, going to make the sequel fit more into the already released movies of the DCEU.

And, if we’re being honest, that isn’t going to be a good thing. The DCEU is struggling. Changing what actually worked in its saving grace is a terrible idea.

Hopefully they’ll keep giving us the Diana Prince we know and love, but as we wait for the release of Wonder Woman 2, we can bask in the knowledge that Pedro Pascal will be lighting up our screens this time around.
