Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 15 preview: Rise and Shine

Agents of SHIELD ticks closer to the end of the world with each new episode. This week, we may find out what General Hale is really up to.

In Agents of SHIELD, do we think Coulson has gone off the deep end since he’s dying soon? Or did he make the right choice in going with General Hale?

Since the reveal of the deal he made with Ghost Rider (which doesn’t feel like that great of a deal?), Phil Coulson seems a little more reckless. A little more ready to take the big risk — but to take it himself, not to have one of his team members do that.

It feels a little irresponsible on his part. He’s not usually one to go headfirst into any situation, yet he’s done it twice in the last three episodes.

The official synopsis, courtesy of ABC:

"Coulson uncovers General Hale’s true agenda, and it could be the end of the world if S.H.I.E.L.D. doesn’t help her."

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Devil Complex” – As Fitz and Simmons race to find a way to seal the Rift, they are faced with one of their greatest fears manifested, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” FRIDAY, MARCH 23 (9:01-10:01 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. In the words of Bruce Banner, “This all seems… horrible.”

We don’t know if this is the path Coulson normally goes down in their time loop or not, either. Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. Perhaps he’s this reckless with his life because he’s close to dying anyway. Or maybe that’s what brings the downfall of the team.

We just don’t know. And it almost feels more infuriating that anything.

So will Coulson straighten out and bring his team into the loop? Or will he try to help Hale himself in case this is some sort of weird trick? After all, Hale is Hydra (haha, Hale Hydra… get it). Why would he believe Hydra after all he’s been through?

Next: When will Elena finally clue everyone in on the future?

We’ll see in this week’s episode.
