Queer Eye has been renewed for a second season on Netflix. There are rumors it will be more emotional than the first, but is that actually possible?

Queer Eye, our favorite makeover show, will be returning to Netflix for a second season. Queer Eye had an amazing first season that gave us all the feels and tons of laughs. According to official sources, the next season will be even more amazing and emotional than the first.

The first episode started off with Tan saying, “The original show was fighting for tolerance. Our fight is for acceptance”. Five gay men of different backgrounds came together to make changes in other people’s lives from their wardrobe to food. They use humor as well as real emotions to help break down barriers people have in order to make them happier.

Season 1 was an amazing emotional ride that I want to continue experiencing. So what is in store for us with the second season of Queer Eye of Netflix?

Bobby Berk and David Collins spoke to Variety about the upcoming season and gave us a few teasers of what is to come. The second season will contain the same number of episodes as the last — eight, to be exact.

First, Queer Eye will continue to feature different people. Berk emphasized that for the upcoming second season, saying “You’ll see a lot more diversity.” On the surface, Queer Eye seems like a simple lighthearted show, but it is so much more. The fab five delve into deep controversial topics such as religion and racism. In the new season, they plan on going deeper than ever before. The fab five are looking to make real change for people and communities.

Collins, meanwhile, focused on the “beautiful freedom to experience the journey” for each episode of the show. Honestly, it’s amazing to see a show where men can lift each other up and not be afraid to show emotions. There is no release date for the next season of Queer Eye yet, but luckily, we won’t have to wait too long.

After all, Berk let out a little secret: the episodes are already done. “These we actually shot right at the tail of the first season, so they’ve already been shot and they’re ready to go”, he said. Let’s cross our fingers that we can binge watch the next season soon. Mainly so we can see more of Jonathan’s fantastic Beyonce hair and cry our feelings out.
