Game of Thrones (Costume designer: Michele Clapton)

This list wouldn’t be complete without the epic show Game of Thrones. The HBO show is obviously the best across the board in every department, including costumes. Usually in the spotlight, when it comes to everything, is Daenerys Targaryen. Therefore we’re going to focus on some of the other stylishly inspiring characters.

Sansa Stark has grown up in front of our very eyes, and her style has evolved in quite the same way. Considering she has migrated from the north, to King’s Landing and back to the North again, she has had to change her look frequently. Some of our favorite Sansa looks are the following;

  • When she has two braids that line the top her head  as her permanent season 1 hair style.
  • Season 2 when she’s wearing the summertime King’s Landing style dresses, and still maintains a salty, northern facial expression.
  • Her fierce style from the latest season when she’s finally back where she belongs in Winterfell.

In the most recent season, Sansa’s style seems to emulate that of Cersei Lannister. Say what you what about Cersei, but she knows how to dress, starting from the first season when she was an elegant queen to the most recent, where she’s always ready for battle.

Finally, the most unlikely fashion icon is, of course, Jon Snow. Though Jon is almost always in the same sort of outfit, there are some variations. His leather and steel attire should be influencing every runway show. I mean, we are currently living in a pretty weird time historically. Should we not also get to wear some sort of armor? We could at least start rocking a ferocious dog (since we can’t really have direwolves) as an accessory.
