RuPaul’s Drag Race

Not only is RuPaul’s Drag Race the best show on TV — don’t @ us when we know we’re right — it’s also the most creative in terms of fashion. These queens usually make their own costumes each episode to go with whatever theme RuPaul has given them. It’s like Project Runway meets America’s Next Top Model meets a Katy Perry music video! It can take hours for most of us to simply pick an outfit, do our makeup, and get out of the house. Imagine adding designing that outfit and then sewing it up to the that routine! It’s outrageous.

In Drag Race, each contestant has to have a good handle on her personality. Everything she wears and creates should speak to who she is as a queen and express her charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent. 

Drag Race just started season 10 and also just wrapped up the third all-stars season, but may we suggest going back to season 9 and being in awe of Sasha Velour. She is a true visual artist. She slays every competition and runway with her alternative drag culture. I literally go back and watch clips of her performances all the time.
