12. Doctor Strange

Doctor Strange was a strange movie, no pun intended. It was weird, but almost not weird enough?

One thing it does do consistently, however, is have a sense of humor. From the wifi password to Stephen Strange constantly trying to make Wong laugh to Wong finally laughing after the climax of the film at a half-hearted joke.

A lot of the humor comes from Christine’s exasperation at Strange. And that whole fight scene in the operating room in the other universe where lights keep exploding and things are knocked over and Christine can hardly deal with it. Or when Strange shows up, regales her with his tales to Kathmandu, gets accused of being in a cult, he denies it, and she replies, “Well, that’s what a cultist would say.”

Heck, we even get the ultimate bad guy, Dormammu, completely worn out and exhausted by everything.

But the best exchange comes from Strange and Kaecilius when being introduced:

"Kaecilius: How long have you been at Kamar-Taj, Mister… Strange: Doctor! Kaecilius: Mr. Doctor? Strange: …It’s Strange. Kaecilius: Maybe. Who am I to judge?"

Plus he can refill Thor’s beer at will!
