13. Avengers: Age of Ultron

One thing fans can agree on: Avengers: Age of Ultron was marketed so well in trailers. Oh, and that Captain America: Civil War was the Avengers film that Ultron wasn’t.

All that being said, Age of Ultron still had the quick quips that come with an Avengers film. It also gives us two separate scenes discussing the worthiness to lift Mjolnir. This includes a lifting contest where Steve’s nudge has Thor lose his smug expression in an instant and both Tony and Rhodey using their suits’ thrusters (“Are you even pulling?”).

And the greatest closing conversation of if you put the hammer in an elevator, would the elevator still go up? “Elevator’s not worthy,” Steve says. Plus the scene of Vision being “born” and him casually lifting the hammer and offering it to Thor cracks you up. And then cracks you up some more when the resounding silence from the cast lengthens beyond what it should.

But perhaps the highlight of the whole movie comes on Sokovia between Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye, as he starts his motivational speech with, “The city is flying… okay, the city is flying? We’re fighting an army of robots… and I have a bow and arrow.”
