Black Lightning episode 10 preview: Sins of the Father: The Book of Redemption
By Buckie Wells
Get ready for Tuesday night’s “Sins of the Father: The Book of Redemption” with our synopsis and preview for the new episode of Black Lightning below.
While we certainly accomplished a lot in the previous episode of Black Lightning, the MVP of the episode became Lynn Pierce.
However, now that both Jennifer and Anissa are aware of their powers, it looks like Jennifer will take herself to the next level. Likewise, Jefferson will continue to peel back the layers of the conspiracy involving the ASA and green light.
According to the synopsis, it seems like both Black Lightning and Gambi will be tested like never before. Check it out:
"Black Lightning attempts to rescue several long-missing children reveal a secret he did not anticipate, and its resulting connections. Gambi struggles to stay strong while in a compromising position. Jefferson begins to view things differently."
So, can we assume that these “long-missing children” are metahumans? Obviously, that’s where this all leads. Well, at least, in the first season. We can expect to see other superheroes down the line at some point, even though Black Lightning makes great use of the characters it already has.
In fact, while at WonderCon, Black Lightning‘s creator Salim Akil answered a fan question saying that he’d like to see Batman in the series. Most fans would probably agree that both Jefferson Pierce and Bruce Wayne would be a great match. Within the context of the “Lightningverse,” Batman seems like a logical fit for several different reasons that we’ve already expanded on.
