Dwayne Johnson — “Shake It Off”

It’s hard to imagine Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson being fazed by anything that anyone has to say. But even the Sexiest Man Alive has haters, and like any human, he has emotions. His work in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle showed just how well he can tap into them. Fortunately, he knows exactly how to handle those haters — just “Shake It Off.”

He performed Taylor Swift’s hit single when he battled Jimmy Fallon, and he brought down the house. The beauty of Dwayne Johnson’s acting is that he fully commits to the character, no matter how insane the antics are. Remember, he played the Tooth Fairy at one point. And Lip Sync Battle was no different. He even did the little chuckle after “I go on too many dates!”

Johnson did insert some of his own antics, flipping his middle finger while singing about the haters and tossing in some dance moves, which made the performance all the more fun.

Like Tracee Ellis Ross, Dwayne kept the performance simple: no costumes, no sets, just him lip syncing. It was good, but admittedly would’ve been even funnier if he had been sporting a blonde wig or one of the ballet outfits from the “Shake It Off” video (there were too many to choose from).
