Robert Downey Jr.’s favorite Avengers: Infinity War scene is one you’ve probably seen already

Marvel’s very own Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr., revealed his favorite scene from Infinity War and a few other details to hold us over until the movie’s released.

Robert Downey Jr. got about as spoiler-free as can be when revealing a few details about the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War film.

In an interview with the Toronto Sun, Downey let us all in on his favorite scene from the movie. And if you’ve seen the first official trailer for Infinity War, you’ve already seen it.

“My favorite shot in the movie has already been seen, and it’s when Thor, who’s just totally gnarled up, turns and goes, ‘Who the hell are you guys?’ and you cut to the Guardians [of the Galaxy],” Downey said in the interview.

“I’m like sold. If the whole third movie was that scene, we’re fine.”

It’s fine that Downey’s favorite scene doesn’t even have Iron Man in it because, well, that’s a pretty good scene — judging by the trailer. It’s the kind of moment that makes you remember that some of these heroes don’t even know that each other exist.

And that’s what will make Infinity War so cool, getting to see the new wave of superheroes interact with each other for the very first time.

We sure hope there will be a few more good first-time meetings for the heroes. But ultimately, the interview revealed that Thanos, the antagonist, “is the main character,” as writer Stephen McFeely put it. “This is Thanos’ movie.”

Although the heroes are guaranteed to have their screen time, we just hope the massive amounts of superheroes paired with Thanos as the “main character” will still make for a well-balanced, entertaining movie.
