Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD season 5 episode 13 preview: Principia

Our Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD team goes in search of the next best thing to help save the world in this week’s brand new episode.

Agents of SHIELD put Coulson’s life on the line last week. But that’s not necessarily a new thing. Now it’s just that he can potentially just keel over at any moment.

Last week’s episode did give us a bit of a reprieve at the end, a moment of happiness, as FitzSimmons finally tied the knot! And that fun reveal of Deke being FitzSimmons’ grandson was a little fun, too.

Why not have a little fun with some time travel?

The official synopsis for this week’s episode, courtesy of ABC:

"The team goes in search of Gravitonium in order to help save the world."

That is an incredibly short and nondescript synopsis. Anything can happen, especially when the entire team is at the top of the Most Wanted list.

Nothing about this will go well.

We’ve already seen the gravitonium in action on the Lighthouse earlier this season and also on Zephyr One. The last time we saw this crazy object, Ward and Garrett were stealing it away from SHIELD.

It was first introduced in the show’s third episode and enveloped Dr. Franklin Hall. Is there a possibility we will see his return? If our SHIELD compatriots find the gravitonium, who’s to say he’s not still inside? In the comics, he does become Graviton; will the show follow that route?

Maybe Graviton is the one who actually quakes the world apart and Daisy tried to stop him. There’s no telling what route Agents of SHIELD might take to destroy the world.
