Step up and watch the first trailer for Luke Cage season 2

Netflix released the teaser trailer for the second season of Luke Cage, and he’s ready to take on whoever and whatever comes at him next.

Netflix has your summer plans official booked for this June, so start freeing up your schedule now. On Tuesday, Netflix released the first teaser trailer for season 2 of Luke Cage, and it gave us just a small glimpse of what to expect.

In the trailer, we see clips of Cage doing what he does best: being totally unstoppable and ready to kick some butt. He’s a man who’s gone through it all as the neighborhood vigilante of Harlem, but now he has to deal with being a local “celebrity,” according to the show’s description, while battling a new unnamed enemy.

When we last saw Cage, he was grouping up with Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Iron Fist in The Defenders to fight against the Hand. Although the show ended up being less popular with audiences than originally thought, we’re still looking forward to seeing what Luke Cage has to deliver in season 2.

As part of the next round of Netflix/Marvel shows, this premiere will follow the second season of Jessica Jones, which will drop on March 8. The third season of Daredevil is scheduled for some time later this year.

Luke Cage season 2 will arrive on Netflix June 22.
