Did Marvel just move Avengers: Infinity War up because of Robert Downey Jr.?

Really want to see Avengers: Infinity War sooner rather than later? Well, you’re in luck! Marvel just changed the release date because Robert Downey Jr. asked on Twitter.

In the world of Avengers: Infinity War, all bets are off. And that apparently applies to the release date and press for the movie as well. In a surprise turn by Marvel, they have decided to move the release date for the US up a week (which puts it in line for the releases around the world).

Prior to this, the movie would be out in Australia a whole week before anyone in the United States would see it, which would mean a week of me screaming at the Internet to not spoil anything for me. But now, that fear is no more.

This isn’t the first time Marvel has decided to move up the release of a movie. In fact, they did it just a little while ago by announcing that Deadpool 2 was also going to be released earlier. Why? Who knows really? Maybe it wanted to just have constant box office giants taking over for weekends on end.

But whatever the case may be, Robert Downey Jr. (our resident Tony Stark) asked about moving it up on Twitter, and Marvel gave it to him. That is just as wild as the company just deciding to do it for whatever other reason. But hey, this all started with Robert Downey Jr. so whatever he says, goes, right?

Either way, we’re excited by the news and we can’t wait to see Avengers: Infinity War. I just hope that poor Bucky gets to just live his life and that Steve Rogers never shaves that beard.
