Are Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder new tonight, February 15?
Is it time to break out the wine, or have Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder taken some time off the airwaves for a certain event?
Even though there’d certainly be an audience, neither Scandal nor How to Get Away with Murder are new tonight, Feb. 15. Frankly, it makes more sense — as it is, both shows still can’t rival Grey’s Anatomy when it comes to viewers anyway, even with the Olympics siphoning away viewers as it did last week, with TV By the Numbers reporting just under 8 million viewers combined for the two shows. Meanwhile, Grey‘s held on to 7.3 million all by itself. Sure, that’s just over half of what the Olympics did, but those were the Opening Ceremonies.
Like pretty much every other show out there, the shows won’t come back until after the Olympics end. Scandal‘s March 1 episode has the name “Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself,” while HTGAWM‘s going to air “Lahey v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
Meanwhile, even on off nights like Feb. 14, the Olympics easily pull in large numbers of viewers when you combine the multiple ways to watch different events. Deadline reports that about 19.2 million people watched last night.
You’re right to be worried about missing the reported crossover in March, though. Perhaps hoping for a strong ratings boost in post-Olympics ennui, ABC has chosen to bring the thunder and let the two shows lead directly into each other right away when they return. It could certainly make a strong start.

That means that you’ll need to set your DVRs or simply make some time if you want to see the shows live. Of course, you can also keep an eye on Culturess for our breakdown of at least the HTGAWM side of things.
For now, fans will just have to make do with Olympian drama.
