There’s nothing dogs love more than going outside and playing in the mud. And now they’ll get to put their skills to the test with their own Ruff Mudder.

Get ready for some muddy paws. There’s going to be a Tough Mudder for dogs and it’s going to be amazing.

Tough Mudder is insanely popular. For many, it’s a fun way to get in shape. And now, dogs can get in on the fun with their very on Ruff Mudder. Dogs love rolling around in the mud and playing. So this seems so obvious. The only question is: Why didn’t they do this before?

Water Pik, Inc. and Tough Mudder, Inc. are hosting the very first Ruff Mudder at the Tough Mudder Los Angeles Event Weekend on March 3. Pups of all shapes and sizes can try their paws at the dog-themed obstacle course. And it’s going to be absolutely adorable to watch.

But these doggos are going to work their tails off to get through the course, which includes a Mini Everest, which is a slick quarter pipe that’s over 4 feet tall and “needs strong hindlegs building up momentum and speed to get over the top lip,” two muddied Mini Berlin Walls that need “precise eye-to-paw coordination to cleanly jump over” and encourages dogs to “lend a paw to those in need,” a “dark and muddy” Boa Constrictor, and, of course, a Mud Mile, or “doggy heaven.”

“With more than 3 million participants worldwide, Tough Mudder is committed to expanding our global footprint to include paw prints – or furry friends – of all shapes, sizes and breeds in the muddy fun. We look forward to welcoming dogs into the community and can’t wait to offer them a unique experience engineered specifically for them,” Tough Mudder, Inc. CMO Jerome Hiquet said. “Ruff Mudder sets a new standard of excellence in obstacle innovation all while promoting active and healthy lifestyles for all – even for our furry friends.”

Of course, this is going to be a messy affair. It’s a bunch of dogs rolling around in the mud, after all. But they will get cleaned up at Waterpik dog washing stations before they go home. Thank goodness because you can only imagine how dirty these puppers are gonna get.
