Star Wars: There are officially porg shoes, and they look perfect for spring

It might be January, but that doesn’t mean we can’t think about how to express our love of Star Wars in the springtime. Enter these porg shoes.

Look. This writer freely admits that she’s pretty ambivalent about the porgs, and she’s actually an Ewok apologist, so you can’t say that she just hates any and all cute Star Wars creatures. I’m merely judicious in my like or dislike of things that seem too perfectly designed. It’s as simple as that.

Enter the porg sneakers, picked up by Syfy Wire, and now you have me reconsidering how I feel about the porgs.

Look, how can you resist this pattern?

Look at the porgs! They’re just a little flustered about how they ended up on shoes and very definitely adorable. And, since there are both low-cut and high-top sneakers, they could fit pretty well with pretty much any ensemble you have in mind for spring and summer. About the only problem we can see is that they’re white — so they might get dirty easily, hiding the cute porgs that we’re sure you want to show off. Then again, how else would you be able to see the porgs on the shoes? Really, it’s not the worst problem in the world to have.

See? I’m slowly being converted to the porg side of life by these shoes. It’s a little difficult, but look at them! They’re ridiculous in the best way.

The description on the official website points out that the uppers are also made of cotton, which is another reason we think they’d be a perfect fit for the warmer months when you don’t want to or can’t wear sandals.
