The long anticipated teaser trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story is rumored to arrive within the upcoming week. Is it too late?

With Solo: A Star Wars Story scheduled to hit theaters in May, Star Wars fans are growing restless for information. The spin-off of the original Star Wars films will follow fan-favorite Han Solo (played by Alden Ehrenreich) through his younger years, a feat bound to take viewers on some wild adventures.

And the word on the Internet is that we’ll be getting a glimpse of these adventures sometime this week.

Twitter account Star Wars Junk tweeted that the teaser trailer for the film will align with the release of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, though they suggest it will hit the Internet a few days prior.

After disappointment following rumors that the trailer was going to air on Jan. 21, we can only hope the new speculations amount to a bit more. Signs now point to the teaser going live on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Amidst all of the excitement surrounding The Last Jedi, details about Solo: A Star Wars Story just recently began to surface. Nearly a week ago, Lucasfilm finally released the official plot synopsis for the film:

"Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes."

While the summary doesn’t reveal much about the escapades promised, it does confirm that Chewbacca and Lando will play major roles in the prequel. Many are crossing their fingers for a scene capturing Han’s first encounter with his hairy sidekick. The film may also tell us how the Millenium Falcon came to be in Han’s possession.

Whatever happens in the film, with talent like Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover, and Emilia Clarke at the forefront, it’s bound to see success.
