Golden Globes predictions: What is going to win in the television categories

Everyone just stop trying. This is The Handmaid’s Tale‘s win. Yes, The Crown could also take it and that would be fine but really, this belongs to The Handmaid’s Tale. Following the novel by Margaret Atwood, the novel had never been made into something like this before.

The Hulu original series enraptured us, showed us a fear we all have, and gave us everything Atwood wanted and more. The acting is incredible, the storyline is fascinating (even though we know it so well), and everything about this series has us on the edge of our seats.

So why not give it the Golden Globe? With shows like The Handmaid’s Tale, it is important that they win things like this. We want the world to know that we want more of stuff like this. We want these fascinating female characters, we want these dark storylines.

So often, our television is dumbed down or canceled because the networks don’t think the show will work. With shows like The Handmaid’s Tale and The Crown getting nominated (and ultimately winning), it shows networks and creators that these are the types of things we want to see.

So hopefully they take home the Golden Globe tonight!
