Is Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD new tonight, Dec. 29?
It’s winter break and you have all the time in the world to watch television. So, is Agents of SHIELD new this tonight, Dec. 29?
Agents of SHIELD certainly has taken us on a whirlwind adventure through five episodes so far. Its fifth season is nothing short of entertaining, launching our SHIELD friends into space and seventy-plus years in the future.
And leaving Fitz behind in present day, only to have him catch up and say Daisy has to fight to the death.
So is Agents of SHIELD new tonight, Dec. 29?
Unfortunately not. SHIELD is taking a one-week hiatus for the holidays, but it will be back with brand new episodes next Friday, Jan. 5.
It seems very odd that SHIELD hasn’t had a break so far this year. Part of me wonders if ABC isn’t trying to have a lack of viewership by airing a new episode three days before Christmas (heck, even I had plans last Friday).
At the same time, it’s a show that Marvel die-hards watch consistently. And its premiere was pushed back to Dec. 1 because of Marvel’s Inhumans. Which we all immediately blocked from our collective memories. It always used to have a several-month break.
But that break was always filled with Agent Carter, which should still be brought back because Hayley Atwell is a treasure.
It’s weird that we don’t have to wait weeks or months to see the next episode. Or wait for a plot point to fall into place. Nope, you just have to wait one week before it returns alive and well!
With Inhumans fighting to the death!
Which, you know, has to mean that this whole space arc is coming to an end. Half the season in space, half back on present day Earth trying to stop it from being destroyed sounds about right.
