Who said that Florida can’t get chilly in the winter months? AT ICE! at Gaylord Palms, the resort is turned into a chilly, ice filled winter wonderland. This walk-through displays features more than two million pounds of ice sculptures. All the ice sculptures are hand carved by artisans from Harbin, China. To keep all that ice cool, the exhibit is a super-cold 9 degrees. It might be your only chance to wear that heavy winter coat in Florida.

This year’s annual ICE! has a new theme, Christmas Around the World. The new theme combines holiday celebrations from all over the world. While each country has a different celebration, the holiday spirit is strong in every country. The feeling projected is that everyone has similarities, no matter where they come from.

The breathtaking ice sculptures aren’t the only holiday festivities at ICE. There are five ice slides to conqueror. Numerous photo opportunities with the beautiful ice sculptures. And, of course, a winter holiday event isn’t complete without a visit with Santa. This winter wonderland is truly a taste of the frozen holiday that Floridians don’t often get to experience.
