Jimmy Kimmel gladly accepts invite to fight Senate candidate Roy Moore

Jimmy Kimmel gladly accepted Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore’s invitation to discuss Christian values man-to-man and set some unusual terms of his own.

What began as a Jimmy Kimmel-sponsored prank at a political rally and a Twitter war has resulted in an informal invite to either a Southern fist fight with a potential Senator or religious discussion over Panda Express.

On Thursday, Jimmy Kimmel Live sent comedian Tony Barbieri to a rally for controversial Alabama Senate candidate and alleged child molester Roy Moore as his over-the-top right-wing alter ego, Jake Byrd.

The stunt, which included Byrd heckling fanatical support and ended with him being escorted out by security, set Moore off and on to Twitter.

But Kimmel, who has become increasingly political since the 2016 election, gladly accepted his invitation, doubled-down, and fired back with a pointed jab about Moore’s alleged long history of sexual misconduct toward underage girls.

That night, Kimmel elaborated on their dispute and set the terms for their showdown during his opening monologue. “We’ll meet you at the mall. Don’t worry, I can get you in,” he said, mocking Moore for the widespread claim he was banned from his local mall for predatory behavior.

He joked that he would be accompanied by “nubile cheerleaders” and if Moore could contain himself, they’d sit down at the food court to talk Christian values over Panda Express. A devout Catholic, Kimmel expressed his eagerness to share his own beliefs with the Senate candidate.

“When we sit down, I will share with you what I learned at my church. At my church, forcing yourself on underage girls is a no-no. Some even consider it to be a sin,” he said.

The host said he’d even be willing to physically fight him on condition that the winner would donate the money from ticket sales to the charity of their choice — and pledged his to Moore’s victims.

Moore has yet to respond to this latest escalation in their peculiar war of words but with the special election less than two weeks away, we will certainly be hearing from him — and Kimmel — very soon.
